Elopements at Cedarlea Farms Nanaimo

Walk amongst the hay fields, the maple trees, the flower fields and bumble bees and follow the path along the craftsman handmade cottage to choose your perfect elopement backdrop on the farm for you and up to 25 guests.

Elope on the Farm

Vancouver Island Elopement or Vow Renewal Package 2025 with dates available starting in late April. Wildflowers are in full bloom in the meadow in May.

  • 4 Hours for your ceremony at the farm for your celebration for you and up to 25 guests

  • Your choice of one of several outdoor ceremony spaces including the meadow, the forest pasture, beneath the giant old growth maples or in front of the craftsman cottage in the flower field and apple trees

  • Up to 2 hours of photography coverage with Alanna D Photography, and your full gallery of edited images

  • One Seasonal, locally grown hand-tied Flower Bouquet for the bride

  • Option to arrive early for getting ready, decor preparations. Picnics and mini casual receptions can be an option following the ceremony, please discuss with the venue.

The experience includes access to most farm areas for your photos, which can include the animals and birds, photos in and around the barn, meadows and gardens, and photos with the horses if you wish.

Flowers and meadows are seasonal and may not be in bloom or have long grasses during your dates, but we will find many beautiful backdrops for your photos together.

Alanna is an experienced wedding photographer and event planner with over 10 years experience photographing weddings. She has an associate’s degree in hospitality management along with several year’s of experience in high level event planning as an executive assistant.

Cedarlea Farms is owned and operated by Val & Craig and their family. Having moved here with their young family a couple years ago, they are working hard to update this farm into a dreamy homestead. They are eager to share with their community by taking the historical elegance of the handmade cottage and barn, and adding new and exciting things to come that will hopefully allow larger events in the future.

Our elopement packages are starting off small and suitable for fun loving, go with the flow couples who will help us showcase the potential of this amazing farm, but will also help us iron out the little things as we host our first few weddings in 2026.

IE, it’s our first season so it may not be perfect, but it will be fun

and you’ll have beautiful photos.

We gratefully ask that you allow us to share a little of your love story to help invite more couples to join us in their plans in the next year.

If you do not wish for your images to be used by me or the farm to help promote this beautiful space, our regular rates will apply, starting at $2000+gst
